VOXI Triple Data Campaign
VOXI is Vodafone’s youth mobile brand, built around endless social data and content made by its own audience. For the Triple Data campaign – 2GB becoming 6GB, plus endless social media, for £10 a month – I worked with Ogilvy on animation and design, carrying the campaign’s animated idents across the full suite of digital display formats.
The brand guidelines treat the VOXI logo as a window onto the user’s world rather than a frame around it, with a precise motion language: the box contracts, stretches out to the margins, flips and twists between messages, the letters stay locked to the frame, and every sequence starts and ends on the logo in its correct, centred form. My job was to keep that language intact at every size and aspect ratio, so each banner felt like the same confident, playful brand as the film.

Animation, DesignSVG Animation
The shape-tweening tools in Google Web Designer and Adobe Animate couldn’t reproduce the geometric part of this animation – the VOXI box stretching, flipping and morphing between frames – in an HTML-based ad. My solution was to build the animation in SVG instead, which kept every shape crisp and every transition faithful to the original film.

Banner Builds
I designed and built the full set of standard display units for the VOXI campaign – MPU, double MPU, leaderboard, skyscraper and the rest – and every one was built in SVG.

WeTransfer Wallpaper
Alongside the display ads, I designed static and animated backgrounds for VOXI’s WeTransfer campaign – the full-screen wallpapers that sit behind the WeTransfer upload window while files send. Built to WeTransfer’s wallpaper specs, they put the Triple Data offer in front of a large, captive audience, with the animated versions carrying the same VOXI motion language as the rest of the campaign.
Our brand is a window (not a frame) for our users’ content. It does not dominate or interfere.
